My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This novel was simple BUT ADDICTIVE. I appreciate the characters and could truly relate to Rachel, and of course I also know a few Darcys. I think that while the morals of this story are a bit skewed, what in this world isn’t? We live in a world where sex is freely given, and I think that during this day and age affairs are just an occurrence; they happen. While Rachel’s betrayal of Darcy is hard to forgive, Rachel and Dex were meant to be together. So that is all I have to say about the morals.
I did find myself feeling extremely lonely while reading this book. Rachel being thirty and never having experienced love stressed me out! Still, even though this isn’t your perfect storybook ending, the girl gets the guy, end of story. True love prevails. In essence this is a modern fairy tale. Very enjoyable.
