I loved this book so much. Walter was one of my favorite characters, but all of them were great. I got teary eyed at the end. It was truly enjoyable, and I really want to go see the movie now. I also want to go to the circus, the real 1930s circus. I admire Gruen’s research too; I felt completely entrenched by the time period. The history and the detail was incredible. Such a satisfying novel.
