Whoah

Summer has been passing by so quickly! I have been working my butt off at the pool, earning some money to buy a car and pay for school this semester. However, I did manage to go see Deathly Hallows Part 2 on the fifteenth, and I cried three times. I really loved it. I’m not exactly hard to please or incredibly critical so I don’t know that my opinion matters, but come on getting to see Alan Rickman’s performance as Snape and Molly Weasley finally tell off Bellatrix? That is always the best part about seeing an adaptation of one your favorite novels. Seeing actors and actresses perform some of your favorite scenes.

I got butterflies on the fourteenth knowing that the suspense and excitement was about to end. I almost went to an early bird premiere using a friend’s tickets, but the timing wasn’t right and with the aforementioned issue of not owning a car personally, it just didn’t work out. Thankfully I am reading the book as well to prolong this epic finale. I may go see it again when I finish the book again.
I’m super stoked about The Hunger Games though so I had to share this http://www.alicemarvels.com/page-news/2011/7/19/hunger-games-movie-poster.html. I also finished reading The Help. I loved it, so I hope the movie is a success. I think the more touching novels are sometimes harder to adapt, but we’ll see.
I am writing a short story right now, and it has been awhile since I attempted something like this. Actually, I have never really attempted something like this. Maybe I tried but was never very successful. My work always seems superficial and immature. It’s upsetting.
I finally watched You’ve Got Mail last night, and it was VERY cute! I love Tom Hanks. Castaway, c’mon?! When my sister and I were little we watched Turner and Hooch over and over again. We decided that he must really love dogs because he had a dog in this one too. Meg Ryan was cute in it and Hanks increased my liking of him even more. I can’t deny that I find that man incredibly attractive. It might be a mixture of his voice and charm, no, it definitely is his voice and charm with the added bonus of a quirky smile!!
