I keep it simple, I don’t have that much time, or money, to spend on my wardrobe. I’m not a fashionista, but I follow along. There are a lot of things I wish I could pull off, but I can’t. I also refuse to wear riding boots and Uggs, and it is hard for me to find pants that fit me and the fashion mold simultaneously. Anyway, here are some pieces of popular fashion I do not understand.
1. The Faux Fur Vest:
I wear flannels and snow boots and military style jackets. I love the lumberjack look in the winter, but are we cavemen? Where does the appeal lie in this? It is not even real fur.
WHAT?
2. Vintage black and brown Granny Boots:
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been on the lookout for a good pair of reasonably priced combat boots for awhile. I like the work boot and riding boot look but these…?
All I can think of is …
I really like vintage looks, and “thrifting” is the best way to shop, but this is what boots should look like.
3. Leggings as pants:
I understand that leggings make someone look nicely dressed (sometimes) without said person having to try, but seriously, wear a shirt that hangs a little lower!

4. Headwrap:
A girl was wearing one of these today. I understand that they could be helpful when it is cold. I also recognize that this photo makes them look really cute. Still, today this girl walked into the classroom, and I thought, “WHO ARE YOU?” Honestly, this is one of those things I did not expect real, tangible, girls to wear.
5. Pumps:
I like heels, I do. I’m not so into the pumps that, in order to make the heel higher, have had an added chunk put on the soul of the shoe. Today, a girl was walking around campus in pumped up boots like these
Sure they are cute, but really?… REALLY? Around campus?

6. Lobster Shorts:
There was a vendor in the lobby at my campus union building, and I saw some guys checking out some pants and shorts. This is what I saw.
