MY 2014
11.If someone wrote a book about your life in 2014, what kind of genre would it be? A comedy, love story, drama, film noir or something else?
My year was definitely a coming of age novel. There was a lot of nothing, a week of drama, and then more life. 2014 did not have a love story, nor did it have a break up. I graduated from college, moved home, and got a job. There would be some comic relief of course, like a moment at the ATM when Jessy yells, “The machine’s not working,” and Rachael replies, “It’s called insufficient funds, bitch!” That could be the name of the book, Insufficient Funds.
12.What was the most important lesson you learned in 2014?
This year I learned that life isn’t going to be easy. I have always known that, but in thinking about my year, I remember that it was full of little realizations about my aspirations and goals. The truth is that I don’t have to have everything figured out right now.
13.Which mental block(s) did you overcome?
This question is odd. My mind is always blocking me. I call it introversion and social anxiety. I overcame those many times. There were many nights this past year when I could have stayed home and ignored my friends pleas to hang out with them, but I love them and so I went out even when I was not feeling it. They always made it worth it too.
14.What 5 people did you most enjoy spending time with?
Sarah, Rachael, Brian, Nancy, and Mia.
15.What was your biggest break-through moment career-wise?
If I say this is not applicable, does that count as an answer?
