Netflix….why did you have to have Buffy available?

Darnit Netflix, why do you have to carry entire seasons of so many good shows? This time last year, I finished Battlestar Galactica (which just talking about makes me want to rewatch now), and this spring I finished Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  I’m a nerd; I know. I get too involved with the characters; I get emotionally involved.
So last night, when I finished Buffy, I slightly freaked out.  I was so worked up that I had to get out of my dorm, put on some inspiring music, and run.  For my cool down, I walked and listened to Jason Aldean because I knew it would bring me back to reality – I was in that bad of shape after watching the series finale.
Buffy was an inspiring show, and I kind of think my life is changed.  I had all these ideas about strength, courage, and sacrifice bobbing around in my head.  JOSS WHEDON those characters were brilliant! They made my day and, apparently, my life.
I can’t even think about hopping into another show right now. I think it’s a process.  I have all of these other recommendations from friends, but I have to recoop.
I am about to say a few things about the show, mostly for my benefit, because I know I have to write them down somewhere for them to get out of my head.
1. Spike’s character was legit. I never could have guessed when he was first introduced how much I’d come to love him even as he changed. I thought he was great in the beginning; well, he got better.
2. I am not one to hop on the girl power train too quickly. Mostly because girls annoy the poop out of me most days, but Whedon pulled it off people.  The finale had me in tears.
3. What a fun -and incredibly sad/moving- ending. What an unexpectedly awesome (when I say awesome I mean it in the most nerdy, sci-fi way possible) final fight.

Do I want to watch Angel now? Ugh… I don’t know. Everytime he made an appearance on Buffy, I realized how much I missed him.  Still, I don’t know if I’m ready to jump into that universe, or any universe, in the near future.  I started The Tudors a few months ago.  Maybe finishing that would help with my transition phase.

This is ridiculous. I think I need to stop…

….But I don’t want to.

I would post a bunch of Buffy fan art and stills from the show, but my Pinterest is full of them.
Note to future Hannah possibly reading this: Go back to your “Okay? Awesome” board for some good Buffy related stuff. Ahhh junior year, you will be known as the Year of Buffy.
